6 GRC Professional • Autumn 2013 ACI NEWS The first meeting of the ISO PC271 committee to create an international compliance standard (Draft ISO Standard 1836) was held at Standards Australia in Sydney from April 8--12. The management system standard for compliance programs will be developed over the next three years to provide an internationally recognised, agreed and understood benchmark for best practice and an internal structure for organisations to ensure their stability. Protecht's executive director David Tattam is the facilitator. Time is running out to book the first two-day Enterprise Risk Management for Corporates workshop on May 29 and 30. This essential course, highlighting the latest thinking in ERM, will provide a comprehensive over view of enterprise- wide risk management as it applies to the corporate government and semi- government sectors.
