A good example is ACI’s recent participation in a forum about the Austra lia n gover nment’s Nationa l Anti-Corr uption Plan. “I have since spoken to a number of the other participants and the feedback currently centres around a growing frustration that this process is now almost six months old and very little progress has been made,” says ACI Managing Director Martin Tolar. “There seems to be an overall focus upon the public sector with little consideration being given to how this will impact upon the private sector. Little thought at this point has been given to the practicalities of how this plan will work. “At this point, unfortunately, both the Attor neys Genera l Depa r tment and the large number of academics that have attached themselves to the process are still caught in discussions that should have been decided long ago - the practical implication being that Australian businesses are left to benchmark their anti-corruption activities against guidelines issued by the uS Department of Justice and the uK’s Ministry of Justice. “This is clearly an unsatisfactory outcome.” Share your views by contacting ACI Managing Director Martin Tolar on +61 2 9290 1788 or email Martin.Tolar@acigrc.com Tight conditions in jobs market not hiring replace departures only Add significantly toour team Add a few additional resourses Don’t know 0% 5% 25% 20% 15% 10% 30% What are your hiring intentions in the next 12 months for compliance and risk roles in your organisation? response percent Lessthan$50,000$50,000-$74,999$75,000-$99,999$100,000-$124,999$125,000-$149,999$200,000-$249,999$200,000-$249,999$250,000-$349,999$350,000-$449,999$450,000ormore$175,000-$199,999 0% 5% 25% 20% 15% 10% 30% response percent in australian dollars, what is your salary range (package value excluding potential bonuses, but including superannuation, allowances, etc.)?
